Medical Industry Equipment Balancing & Vibration Testing
HI-TEK Balancing can process very large parts and extremely small parts. We have processed parts as small as a pencil eraser and only a few grams in part weight. Many times small parts are processed in their own support structure as the parts are so small it is impossible to belt drive them. Medical machinery alignments are very important for successful balancing. Small parts require machined tolerances so tight that assembling them after balancing causes repeatability and vibration problems. The solution is to fixture them as a unit in the balancer.
The above assembly is one of a small batch prototype blower balanced as an assembly. Balance corrections are made by nipping the corners of the impeller and grinding on the magnetic coupling on the reverse side. The entire rotating weight to the assembly was under 20 grams.
