Dynamic Balancing Services
Dynamic balancing becomes necessary for a wide range of commercial and industrial equipment for the obvious reason that virtually all rotors eventually become unbalanced from a variety of conditions. For example, some operational causes of unbalance include rotor fouling from accumulated dirt or other deposits on the rotor, bowing of rotors due to uneven heating or shaft damage, loss of rotor material from friction, and other causes.
Rotor unbalance is the uneven distribution of mass around an axis of rotation. A rotating mass, or rotor, is said to be out of balance when its center of mass (inertia axis) is out of alignment with the center of rotation (geometric axis). Unbalance forces the rotating axis to orbit off-center. This is the most common cause of vibration in rotating systems.
We’re experts at large rotor balancing – our facility features a massive 10 metric- ton overhead bridge crane that enables us to handle large rotating parts safely with the care they deserve so we can balance even the largest rotating components with the accuracy they demand.
Our on-site rotor balancing service takes us throughout the United States and to facilities across the globe, from the Bahamas to Shanghai, China. Our highly-experienced balancing technicians have successfully solved a wide range of vibration and rotor balancing challenges that others have failed to properly diagnose and fix.
To learn more about rotor balancing, contact us today – with our extensive rotor balancing knowledge and seasoned balancing experts, we’ll quickly diagnose your problem and provide the most effective and cost-efficient solution.
